  • Cavity Preparation: Remove the decayed area of the tooth.
  • Filling Material Mixing: Gather the necessary materials for amalgam mixing, including the amalgam capsule, amalgamator, and a tool for capsule removal.
  • Loading the Capsule: Place the capsule into the amalgamator and secure it in position. Activate the amalgamator, adjusting the time and speed as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Completion of Mixing: Once the mixing process concludes, deactivate the amalgamator and extract the capsule.
  • Loading the Mixed Amalgam: Transfer the mixed amalgam into a suitable carrier or syringe for subsequent placement in the tooth.
  • Shaping and Polishing: Conclude the procedure by shaping and polishing the filled tooth for optimal form and finish.
